Simulation Project. The Underlying Objectives Term Paper

By clearly defining the problem, it is more assured that the root of the problem is identified as opposed to a symptom of another problem. Then, I would most likely institute a brainstorming session with my co-managers or even the entire sales team to evaluate potential solutions. It is far more likely that the combined brain power of the entire team that logical solution are created but it would be my responsibility as the leader to choose which prioritized solution would be the best fit. I would make this best fit decision by using a Plus-Minus-Implications or PMI decision making tree. The objective would be to weigh the pros and cons of the available solutions. This technique has been used for centuries and I believe is one of the more important Decision Making tools. This is because this process allows one to see if potential changes will in fact improve the situation if need...

I am always in a position where I need to make good decisions in critical situations. Thus, by applying what was learned from this simulation, I am better prepared to look for the true causes of problems as opposed to symptoms, initiate brainstorming sessions, not be too proud to ask for help and prioritize real and imagined problems.
In conclusion, this report was an attempt to summarize the content of the class simulation project and my secondary objectives were to list some advantages and limitations identified in the simulation as they pertain to my personal decision-making process. I also aimed to list key points that were emphasized in our reading and to apply some of the lessons learned to my workplace.

Progress and Performance Monitoring With any project that's intricate, involved and worth completing, the progress and performance need to be consistently monitored. Proper project monitoring allows all stakeholders in the project to determine if the project is on course or not. One method of monitoring the success and development of a project is via performance indicators. These indicators are flags which provide proper image of a project's impact, outcomes, outputs, and

A more definitive explanation is; "... A proposed explanation for a phenomenon." (Scientific Reference) a hypothesis should be able to be tested and functions as a directive for further research. In my research study for example, the hypothesis that was explored was that certain circumstances in different historical periods affect the development of the areas of expertise and their application to project activities. These circumstances include social and cultural movements;

The ability of companies to attain a high level of knowedlge sharing, in effect becoming knowledge generation networks, is well-known in the areas of auto manufacturing, specifically at Toyota (Dyer, Nobeoka, 2000). Simulations such as these show the potential to predict if and when a company will attain this level of process and knowledge sharing performance. Assessing the Pros and Cons of Simulations as Learning Platforms The primary strength of constraint-based

Operations Management There are a number of words that can best describe (and are currently being used) how operations management is causing a renaissance in the business community. The first is by demographically-based segmentation attributes, and the second is through services offered. Neither of these is optimal for understanding and responding to unmet needs in the users bases, a point discussed in the following section of this paper. Demographic segments include the following: General Consumer/Residential: The largest segment of users, this is the segment that also generates the highest level of price competition and pressure in the market as

Moreover, the simulation also made available several branching and interdependent decision pathways. The simulations presented in the beginning pertinent background information and then subsequent screens presented at least three decision choices. Based on the selection, a new screen presented the client's response. The process ended when the students reached the end of a decision pathway. The simulation also took into account that many counseling situations do not have right
