This article speaks about GM's newest U.S. plant, which is set, as of December 5, 2011, to receive an Energy Star certification for "superior energy efficiency" from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). According to the same article, these demonstrate commitment from companies towards protecting their practices, and thereby their customers. The fact that top officers are committed to this is, then a very important step. Furthermore, it is also important to mention that with these qualifications, bodies such as the EPA help manufacturers overcome barriers and provide incentives for a certain industry.

The organization in this article is important to note for the effects that it has for the implementation of the "superior efficiency" facet. This, again, proves to the community at large that an organization is truly committed to its values, and to promoting the well-being for the customers and the community at-large. The definition for this concept comes from the point when a company strives to do everything possible to attain the kind of efficiency superior to any other progress as well as any other process in the company. This superior efficiency is thus reflected in various other recognitions, such as, in this case, the offer of an energy star for GM in Michigan.

Yet superior efficiency is not just referring to energy savings, it refers to many other concepts as well for there are many companies that are achieving such important advancements. Thus, it is important for all companies to follow such steps and implement the kind of efficiency that is important not just for the company as a whole, but for everyone affiliated with it and everyone benefitting from it.
