Technological Feasibility From My Experiences

¶ … Technological Feasibility from my experiences in the class. The structure and execution of the course flowed quite well and I was excited about the many guest speakers that were scheduled to come in and share their experiences and knowledge. I believe that it is far easier to understand the real-world concepts and aspects of feasibility when there are guest speakers who have had experience and success in this field to learn from.

The team-oriented structure of the final assignment was both frustrating and helpful. It was frustrating in that my team members often pulled the project in different directions, and I had to adapt to the personalities and thoughts and ideas of the other members. This is the way the working world functions, and in a good way it showed me the value of being able to synthesize different thoughts in a timely manner to create the best possible pitch. I also felt more comfortable working as a team when I thought about how we were going to have to pitch to investors at the end of the class. I am glad that we really pulled together and I feel that we were successful, even if there are a few aspects of the delivery we could stand to polish. I felt relieved after we finished our pitch and I was able to synthesize everything I learned about feasibility and relating to investors.

Pitches

The structure of the in-class pitches benefited me greatly in discovering the dynamics of a successful pitch, as well as understanding the pressures and stresses related to the pitches. The ability to be concise, while still making an honest effort to include all the pertinent information was adequately represented was something I learned about as well. In the beginning, it was very frustrating to have to limit the pitch times so greatly. But by the end of the class, I was able to better understand how to structure the pitch and work with the research information to really sell an idea. I now understand the reasoning behind this part of the class structure after pitching to the investors at the end of the class. My pitch was far more succinct and I had a much easier time moving through my group's pitch because of all the experience I had during the course of the class. I am also very thankful for the pitch templates that were provided, I don't think our group would have been able to deliver anything close to what we did if it were not for the structure and organization those templates brought to our pitch.
