Teens and Technology Is Rapidly

Teens and Technology Technology is rapidly changing infiltrating many aspects of students' lives and this trend will likely continue to increase. Technology opens many possibilities to students, offering a medium for personal expression in which they can create, collaborate, and research an infinite number of subjects. Teens and Technology will teach students to use technology as a tool to empower them, build confidence, self-esteem and hope.

Upon the completion of the course, students who utilize Teens and Technology will share their voices and visions through the development digital exhibitions, books, websites, and videos. Exhibitions will be organized through the collaboration with local organizations, teachers will work to strengthen students' education and individual well-being of each student. Objective: To develop and implement program called Teens and Technology at community schools in order to train teenagers in local schools to use skills and technology as future business trade, skill, and/or talent.

Through the implementation and use of Teens and Technology, students will use digital devices as learning tool, rather than an educational distraction and disruption in the classroom. Goals: Teens and Technology will approach development from individual, educational, and technological perspectives.

On a personal level, Teens and Technology will, Raise individual self-confidence, self-esteem and encourage independence Provide knowledge of changing career landscape Instill confidence Help build collaboration and team-working skills On an educational level, Teens and Technology will, Help make educational process more positive for students and educators Reduce disruption caused by current use of mobile devices in the classroom Educate students on constructive use of mobile devices and how to used them as educational tools and for personal development Raise awareness of positive and negative components of modern technology Raise awareness of emerging technologies Teens and Technology will teach students marketable skills for future career opportunities in fields including: Graphic design Website design Digital and Online Publishing Through the use of Teens and Technology, students will: Create digital images, films, and audio presentations through the use of existing available mobile devices Learn to edit and manipulate images, films, and audio on digital workspaces Learn to create interactive and creative presentations using web-based and computer-based tools Work.
