¶ … Landscape ecology conventionally has been constrained to the knowledge of earthly methods; nevertheless, the inquiries and approaches describing the science are similarly linked for oceanic and seaside structures. The author points out that the shared relationship among longitudinal design, and ecological processes and the overarching sense of proportion on this relationship was being explored in some marine, and coastal settings as the general rule of landscape ecology were changing throughout the last 20 years of the last century. It was clear that the author intent of this article was to highpoint a study regarding changing the tools of landscape ecology to answer questions that are ecological.

The article stressed that there was a risky strategy for many organisms that inhabited spatially extensive marine landscapes which were the larval dispersal. It was fascinating to learn that a lot of the present work has put a lot of emphasis on the biophysics of marine larval dispersal and its importance to population dynamics (Elizabeth K. Hinchey, 2007). However, the article emphasized there has only been a few studies that have evaluated the spatial and sequential designs of their potential dispersal. The article stressed that historically, studies in landscape ecology have examined how variation in spatial dimensions can mimic the complex exchanges detected within and amid landscapes. The author reviewed two papers in this crucial issue that speak to this question. One of the papers assessed, how the sampling unit size regulates the relationship between landscape design and sediment metal absorptions in minute estuarine systems in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic areas of the United States. This paper did a thorough job in expressing how they varied the spatial amount of sample units operated to evaluate landscape organization and evaluated linear relationships between estuarine sediment metal dilutions and the entire area of developed and agricultural terrains at each scale.

The second paper that the author used in the report showed how storms can affect sea grass landscape structure and seed dispersion in a subtropical deep water background. They inspected the spatial changing aspects of an offshore landscape comprised of the sea grass Halophila decipiens following the route of a hurricane and found generation of the original landscape patches when chaos was immense and strong. It was fascinating to learn that in addition, large-scale conflicts can arise in the local relocation of sediment and the seed bank so molding the spatial signature of the developing sea grass land in a midshelf area (Elizabeth K. Hinchey, 2007). This sense of physical disturbance differs from that previously reported for factors influencing spatial arrangements of sea grass in shallow water settings. The article did a remarkable job when it stated how they found a possibly ecologically significant differences amid broken and the infinite landscapes with these results strongly dependent on conducts of prey and harmful organisms and how these behaviors change with landscape construction.
