An American worldview assumes, for instance, that a person as the right to worship as he or she wishes. Not all cultures value religious freedom. Religion, culture, gender, socio-economic status, and nationality all impact worldview. Worldview in turn affects outlook on life in all its dimensions. Self-concept and identity are products of worldview, as people continually compare themselves to others. Beliefs about fundamental issues like human nature are related to worldview because the way we view the world is akin to the way we view human beings. How we treat other sentient beings including animals is related to our worldview. Worldview even affects a person's beliefs about health and well-being: some value quality over quantity of life. People with different worldviews can learn a lot from each other, but often worldview creates interpersonal conflict, misunderstanding, and clashes of cultures.
