This is a short paper that answers a question regarding a hypothetical scenario. Organizations such as the WTO currently give discretion over environmental policies to its members, but requests that a fundamental non-discrimination principle is respected: National Treatment (NT). The provision seeks to prevent protectionist use of domestic policy instruments, requesting that when an imported product is sufficiently similar to a domestic product, they are treated identically (Horn, 2011). Therefore even membership into an organization such as the WTO does not guarantee that the playing field will be level. European countries currently utilize a cap and trade system while many WTO members do not. Therefore, it may cost companies in Europe more to produce goods because they must operate in this environment.

Chapter One: Introduction APEC which means Asian-Pacific Economic Corporation is one of the biggest trading regions that consist of twenty-one countries in it. All the countries within this corporation are known as the rim of the Asia-Pacific and able to perform well as compared to other regions. Countries that are heading under APEC are performing quite efficiently especially countries like China, Hong Kong and Vietnam. On the other hand, the United States is playing a major role in generating much more wealth by trading activities, whereas the performance of Japan is a bit weaker as compared to the trading region of the United States. However, the performance of Japan is improving now due to the rising demand of trade, technology and business activities. It is recorded that the inflation rate is low, whereas the fuel and commodity prices are going higher in these trading region. Moreover, the investment and the trade in the APEC region are increasing rapidly.

The study includes an analysis of market structures. The paper discusses the market type which Amazon operates in and the effects on their business of the market structure. Amazon is operating in an oligopoly market structure which is discussed in the study.The role that the market plays in an economy is a crucial aspect of how businesses make their strategies and perform.

The economic crisis that hit the international community and the world economies has determined, since 2008, a slow, almost invisible shift in the doctrinal preferences of more and more people in terms of deciding on the right economic approach to be followed in order to avoid such crises from taking place in the future.

Arizona State University has excellent programs in both Disciplines. By preparing undergraduates and graduates for communications-related fields that are relevant worldwide, ASU is addressing the needs of an increasingly complex, shrinking globe. Equally globally relevant is Arizona State's Women's Studies program. ASU offers Women's Studies within the broader context of "Social Transformation," a field that also probes African and African American Studies, Asian Pacific American Studies, Culture, Society and Education, Justice and Social Inquiry. Clearly, ASU's Women's Studies program is not a narrow topic that is merely focused inward; rather, it is an interdisciplinary, diverse, multiple-perspective program seeking to engage students in various majors, minors and other fields of study. The obvious object of such a program is its students' readiness for local and global relevance by tackling such subfields as gender, health, sexuality, science and technology, work, globalization, ecology, social policy, violence prevention, media, film, performance and the arts through specifically named subfields such as: Culture; Economics; Film; History; Literature; Politics; and Science. In sum, though Communications Studies and Women's Studies are treated as distinct Disciplines, their ultimate purpose is the preparation of individuals for worldwide multidisciplinary relevance.
