The nurse practitioner is a highly trained professional healthcare provider and in many regions and states the NP has autonomy and sees patients the same way a primary physician does. But there are places where the NP is not respected and is not autonomous. As doctors become scarce (thanks to Obamacare)the nation should expect to see NPs offering the same primary healthcare services as doctors do.

Women's access to birth control services has always been marred by several controversies ranging from beliefs to issues of morality. This study focuses on an article written by Marcia Clemmitt and the issues raised therein. The article offers critical issues especially from the pharmaceutical field relating to the women's access to birth control services. The study shows that controversies are never endless when this issue is raised in various sections of the society like the government, religious groups, and human rights activists.

Mental health treatment has gained increasing mainstream acceptance in recent decades. However, it remains an area filled with stigma for certain demographics. The discussion here reviews two articles, one which discusses this stigma in relation to Latino communities and one which discusses this stigma in relation to the elderly. Both cases identify the role played by fear and the need for refinement of mental health support services.
