Purpose Statement The present study seeks to assess and evaluate emotional intelligence in virtual teams and how it impacts team performance. The target population will comprise of employees of companies with operations in the United States, Europe, and Africa, and who have virtual teams working in collaboration to accomplish various organizational goals and objectives. This population is appropriate for a study of this nature because by virtue of being dispersed, “physical contact in virtual teams is reduced or lacking altogether which means that collaboration is enabled by IT-solutions such as computer based communication” which essentially implies “opportunities as well as challenges for today’s global e-leaders” (Lillian, 2014). The present study will be inclusive of employees who have had the opportunity to accomplish tasks, pursue organizational objectives, and drive the organizational agenda in a virtual environment with colleagues dispersed across various geographical locations. The implication for positive social change includes the ability….

Politics

Purpose Statement: To determine whether or not one's political affiliation has an impact on their views regarding public policy.

Applicable Literature: The relationship between political affiliation and behavior has been studied extensively, dating back decades. Studies in the 1960s and 70s explored the impact of party affiliation on judge's decisions (Nagel, 1961), and on the war in Vietnam (Verba et al., 1967). In some of these studies, political affiliation is considered to be a demographic variable that can be measured and used to help analyze results, and this tactic has continued to be popular fifty years hence. For example, a recent study examined the impact of political affiliation on trade issues (hite, 2009). Recent literature in psychology and sociology has gone further, to study how political affiliation impacts on one's thinking process (Gerber et al., 2009; Baldassarri, 2008). This study will approach the issue again from a public policy perspective.….

Communications -- Personal Statement
Say the word 'communications,' and immediately people think of the written or the spoken word. They think of a page of newspaper, a conversation with a friend. But corporate communications encompasses so much more than merely the verbal exchange of ideas.

Corporate communications is kinesthetic. Through my work at my current place of business, Alcoa I communicate by email to all Alcoans worldwide, regarding the Earthwatch program, including its guidelines and the application process. Earthwatch expeditions are hands-on efforts designed to add to the knowledge of Alocan personnel to give them personal knowledge of the different needs that must be met to build a sustainable future. My communication efforts for this program are personal as well as technical, and facilitate the communications process between employees on a personal level, and for the fifteen individuals ultimately chosen to become a part of the program, on a physical level with….

Teaching Young Americans What it Means to be a Good Citizen
Citizenship education, to give it a name, does not simply belong to the social studies teacher. -- Peter S. Hlebowitsh, Daniel Tanner and William G. Wraga, 2000

Statement of Generative Theme.

Children born today will probably never know a day and age when mankind does not have a permanent presence in outer space, and the world is becoming a much smaller place as the result of innovations in telecommunications, international commerce and transportation. In this changing environment, it becomes increasingly important for young Americans to understand what it means to be a good citizen, and what their responsibilities and obligations are to their local communities and their country. To this end, this paper provides an educational approach for promoting improved citizenship awareness at the community level through a small group approach to learning.

The small group format is particularly appropriate for helping young….

logs and narrative-only reports is commonplace in a number of public and private sectors, including law enforcement and health care where they are used to codify different types of events for different purposes. Irrespective of the setting and purpose, though, these types of written records can play a vital role in keeping track of important events and establishing accountability for future analysis or investigation. To gain some fresh insights in this area, this paper provides an explanation concerning the purposes of and differences between incident reports, logs, and narrative only reports. A discussion concerning the five rules of narrative report writing is followed by a summary of the research and important findings concerning the importance of honest, factual report writing.

Personal Statement in Diversity Law Program
The Chinese-Americans are among the most successful minority in the United States, yet, they are the most discriminated and under-represented minority group in the United States. According to the 2010 census, the Chinese-American population was 3.8 million approximately 1.2% of the overall American population. Between 2000 and 2010, the Chinese-American population increased by 43%. Despite the population changes, the Chinese-American born in the United States are still underrepresented in the U.S. corporate affair because of their low English proficiency.

The major driving force that makes me pursuing the master's law program and focusing on the diversity of the Chinese-American born in the United States is based on my profound interest in the diversity law and my intent in solving problems related to the diversity. Thus, it is extremely important to address the diversity problem facing the Chinese-American based on their population increase in the United States.….

Classroom-based reading assessment is the measurement of children's progress in learning reading by using both formal and informal measurement tools.
Classroom Assessments

Classroom assessment collects useful information about what students do and do not know about reading. Teachers can use four different types of assessments to accomplish this.

Leveled Books

Leveled books can be used to figure out where exactly a student is in terms of reading level.

Informal procedures

Rough observation and measurement can be used to figure out where exactly students are in terms of reading level.

Tests

Tests can be administered to find out where students' strengths and weaknesses are.

Work Samples

Collecting samples of a student's work can be instructive in figuring out where a student is in terms of reading level

Determining Student's Reading Level

Teachers must figure out where students are in terms of reading level so that they can progress in their learning while not being faced with material that is too difficult for them….

Career Objectives
Pursuing an MS in Finance is the first step toward beginning the rest of my life. I am excited to be this close to graduating from college and taking the next step, entering graduate school. I am pleased about moving closer to launching my career and about exploring the possibilities that lie ahead. This Statement of Purpose discusses my progress to this point and my plans for the future, and considers how an MS in Finance will help me achieve my goals.

Because I understand that a Masters degree does not automatically qualify me for career advancement, I want to pursue realistic goals, and that includes personal satisfaction. Whenever I have considered my long-term educational plans, I always thought in terms of a Masters degree, and possibly even a doctorate. So obtaining a masters degree will satisfy one long-term goal and put me in position to pursue another one.

Another….

Clinical Practice GuidelinesClinical practice guidelines (CPGs) are sets of recommendations that aim to optimize patient care. They are based on the best available evidence and are developed by consensus among experts. CPGs are designed to be applicable to a range of clinical situations and to be updated as new evidence emerges (Li et al., 2018). While they are not legally binding, they often carry significant weight within the medical community. As a result, CPGs can play an important role in shaping clinical practice. However, their success depends on uptake by clinicians and adherence to the recommendations. To be successful, CPGs must be accessible, evidence-based, and relevant to the needs of clinicians. As CPGs are documents that provide recommendations for the clinical management of specific conditions, they are designed to help clinicians make evidence-based decisions about diagnosis, treatment, and other aspects of patient care. They are developed by panels of experts who….

In their research study, Wilhelmy et al. take a closer look at interview styles, with a specific emphasis on signaling behaviors.
