2005:248). As more and more children are beginning to show signs of asthma around the world, it is becoming increasingly important to understand the disease. It is such a sad reality to see so many children around the world suffering from a chronic illness such as asthma. The severity of symptoms depends greatly on individual, social, environmental, and political factors that affect each child in his or her asthma episodes. However, this is an unfortunate reality that healthcare professionals and home caregivers must work through in terms of providing necessary care and comfort for symptomatic children. The healthcare community must learn from the signs and patterns of symptomatic children to help teach homecare givers and come up with the most strategic plans to combat asthmatic episodes within the vulnerable demographic of children.
