Social constructivists hold assumption that people seek understanding of the world in which they live and work. People develop subjective meanings of their knowledge, meanings aimed at certain matters or things. These meanings are diverse and numerous, leading the researcher to look for a convolution of visions rather than tapering meanings into a little groups or ideas. The aim of research is to depend as much as possible on the participant's outlooks of the circumstances being studied. The questions become extensive and universal so that the participants can build the meaning of the circumstance, usually put forth in discussions or connections with other people. The more open ended the inquiring, the better, as the researcher listens cautiously to what people articulate or do in their life surroundings.
