Although the failures seem un felt, the people behind the making of the software's feel their efforts were futile. Online networking tools affect communication of people in social groups by using social networks. There is a threat as people can communicate with whom they want and falling for fraud is easy. People can create powerful networks that serve other purposes, for example, networks that can solve crimes, or frauds in the form of businesses. There await implications especially when every person can express themselves with a virtual audience for almost free (Morten, 2009). Evaluation involves analyzing the user first. An assessment of how they use the social networks will tell whether it is the right thing to do. In such an evaluation, several questions will come up, and these questions about one will help one in self-finalization. Another thing is to list some of the social networks one is a member. Find out the aim of these sites, for example, if one is in a site offering business then one is there for business.

Social communications will also guide one through the evaluation process. This involves a review of what has been going on between one and the site of choice. Reload all the earliest conversations with other members. Also, check on the interactions with other users by verifying responses on conversations. The most important thing is to answer why one finds themselves in the site, mostly the reason will be to meet people, do business or blog. Whatever reason it is, it will help one in the evaluation process (Clay, 2008).

Common social media tools in a workplace include Wikis, social networks, and blogs. Social media collaboration is affordable and provides an opportunity for interactions between the workers. Another benefit is speed and efficiency of how information relays within a workplace. For teams working from different parts of the world, technology has made work discussions possible. It allows flexibility in individual work balance. In addition, technology has made it easier to communicate as a team and get answers almost immediately....

It enhances transparency in the work place by eliminating the need of having frequent conversations. Although they are miles apart, they work together to enhance problem solving synergy.
It is easy to communicate effectively within a company through collaborating social media and social networks. Technology has made it possible for workers to understand each other providing a working environment internally and externally. Technology helps to avoid overload of work. People concentrate on work issues avoiding terrific teamwork. When people use technology as a medium of communication, good working relationship exists between the workers because they do not know each other (Clay, 2008).

On the other hand, if technology takes over a workplace rather than augment it, then aims of the workplace may be lost. Professional conduct is in question when staffs constantly use social networks, for example, when they post ill things about their bosses. Social media collaboration also posses security risk in a workplace. Clicking on links intended for malware, or frauds to workers or the company. Some companies have banned social networking and collaboration in the workplace citing security fears (Clay, 2008).

Social networks may affect the productivity of the workplace. Some sites like face book and twitter are very addictive. Workers might find the sites interesting and forget their duties in their workplaces. In such a case, social sites become distractions to productivity. This will lead to a severe relationship between the top management and the work due to laxity in work. Some workers especially women may use these sites as gossip tools. Instead, of working they busy gossip, the workers they do not like on facebook or any site.
