Role of the Nurse Executive/Manager

Nurse manager/executive ensures and facilitates effective and efficient engagement in relation to care within different levels or departments within the organization (Mackoff, 2011). The manager is also vital in the adoption and implementation of an effective information system and technology to foster quality communication within and outside the organization premises. Nurse Manager participates in ensuring daily care coordination and collaboration in order to meet the goals and objectives thus enhancing the welfare of the community. The Nurse Manager also plays a critical role in ensuring that all care levels come together in the achievement of the mission. This is through effective and efficient integration of different care levels. The Nurse Manager is also vital towards the adoption and implementation of quality communication patterns essential for interaction among patients, staff, and medical practitioners (Roussel, 2009).
