The major disadvantage of post industrial societies is the inequality globalization as the main expression of the post industrial society is constantly creating. The free trade and the facilitation of transportation around the world enable countries to exploit one another, and more often, allow corporations to exploit poor countries. Thus, the existing discrepancies between Western Europe and the U.S. And regions in Africa or Asia are a crucial disadvantage of the post industrial societies.
This major disadvantage can rarely be countered in poor countries. India for instance relies on its massive labor force to keep up with technology-based economies. However, it does not have the same effect and soon the competition will have weakened. By comparison, China's society on the whole is a mix of massive labor force and technology. Thus, it can benefit from both a large population as well as a technological-based economy which has succeeded so far to the extent in which it is now the main competitor of the U.S.'s and EU's economies.
