¶ … RtI of FL The Florida Problem Solving/Response to Intervention Program Evaluation

The state of Florida has put together the Florida Problem Solving/Response to Intervention Program Evaluation (PS/RtI), and has had the program in effect since 2007. Mandated programs, like the PS/RtI, have the effect of improving the overall education within Florida's schools and have been found to supply undeviating assistance, preparation, and coaching at each location to pilot, or participating, schools. Researchers who have been working with the state of Florida have found this particular program to be valuable and very helpful because it grants statewide qualified progress and scientific aid to regions connected to or desire to start PS/RtI projects, and they favor this system because it will offer express support preparation, and on-site education to all (Castillo, Hines, Batsche, & Curtis, 2008).

In the educational reform, the University of Southern Florida stated, that the PS/RtI for public schools in Florida will use this particular problem solving program because it looks at carrying out the state's K-12 Reading Plan which offers guidance to school all school locations that will observe how reading evaluation and teaching performance...

Furthermore, the reconstruction will create the Florida Differentiated Accountability (DA) Plan that includes the utilization of a PS/RtI replica into the approach employed to maintain low performing institutions. Next the state's Positive Behavior Support (PBS) Project will be used on the same 3-tiered form, which compromises an analytic approach to advance in behavioral results. Last, the new Early Learning Success (ELS) proposal will be centered on constructing a sturdy institution in reading and math for the state's children by assessing principles, evaluations, and teaching observations from Pre-K to 3rd grade (University of Southern Florida, n.d.).
The laws and reauthorizations of the Florida Project include the two Acts that are nationwide which are the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act and the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). With the NCLB in place, it will help enforce the importance of learning at an early age, provide information to parents that are concerned about their children's learning capacities, and offer the parents information on the school activities with more resourcing and flexibility to ensure that their children are receiving the education they deserve.
