Theory Management Organization Development Theory and Management of Organization Development

I work for a medium-sized company that provides services to more than 500 clients. The company was founded by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company and has been in operation for more than a decade now. In particular, I work for the IT department of my organization as an IT/network administrator. In essence, my main task is to ensure that different devices across different departments in the organization are connected together to create networks that are not only fast, but also efficient. More so, I am accountable for maintaining the links and solving any issues that might come about with regard to computer networks.

One of the issues perceived within the job realm is compensation handed towards the employees within the IT department. It is imperative to point out that the IT department is well structured and fitted with proper and competent personnel. The department always makes certain that all matters pertaining to information technology and network administration are well taken care of. The workflow in place within the IT department is where all the employees have open communication with each other and strive to be highly effectual...

However, regardless of the fact that the IT department is given plenty of appreciation for the work and services done, I feel that the personnel do not get sufficient or fitting financial compensation for their services.
In reviewing the job, another aspect that ought to be improved upon is the process of hiring individuals within the department. In the contemporary, a great deal of the open job positions are filled internally by prevailing employees. More often than not, this results in a repetition of functions. In my own perspective, I have the opinion that hiring new employees from outside the organization can instigate a great deal of fresh notions and ideas that will benefit all individuals within the organization. More so, with the advancement and progression within the IT realm, there is much need for groundbreaking and innovative ideas being infused within the department (Cummings and Worley, 2014).

A third element reviewed is the lack of progression or development within the department. In the present moment, with regards to my career, there is hardly any room for advancement and growth. This is largely for the reason that majority of the people within the IT department are not about to leave…
