¶ … minimum) that addresses your reasons for transferring and the objectives you hope to achieve.

The reason for my transfer to the University of Pennsylvania is the fact that in my previous studies I have not felt adequately challenged by my classes. As a student, it is very important to find the proper fit at a school where I feel challenged, valued, and well-received by my peers and professors. There are few schools in the world that have the history and integrity that the Wharton School does, and this is why I believe that I would be better motivated and engaged here. I believe that the Wharton School has the capability to engage me in a way that will awaken the very best in me as both a student and an individual.

After attending Suffolk College and maintaining a 4.0 GPA I transferred to Babson College seeking to intellectual stimulation and the fulfillment that comes with meeting a challenge. I was disappointed with Babson, and after much contemplation and research, I am confident that the Wharton School is the proper fit for me. I am extremely motivated and continue to remain focused on my commitment to excellence and integrity. I have formed my strong bonds throughout my academic career, and I look forward to being able to establish more of them at the Wharton School. My interest in the fields of business management and marketing have given me the opportunity to experience and understand much academically. But I have lead a relatively unfulfilled academic career due to the fact that I am not challenged at my current school and have never truly been given to opportunity to prove myself in my studies as far as knowing my limitations are concerned.

I believe that my personal commitment to academic excellence, coupled with my intense drive and intrinsic motivation, will be matched perfectly at the Wharton School with courses and subjects that genuinely interest me and require me to perform on a level that I have never been asked to rise to in the past. My past academic accomplishments have not been in vain, and I plan to build upon my previous experiences, no matter how unchallenged I felt before. I truly believe that, given the opportunity to study at the Wharton School, I will be able to both rise to the occasion and become the best that I can be, as well as become an asset to the school's academic, social, and extra-curricular environments.

What I hope to achieve at the Wharton School is tied to the idea that a person cannot know their limitations, or their true abilities until they are challenged. The most concrete achievement for me will be knowing that I am truly challenged and engaged, and therefore feeling that I have done my absolute best to strive for academic excellence. I hope to also be able to be contribute as a valuable peer resource, and help those around me to better function as business students and professionals in the business world. I am serious about my studies and my future career, and I am confident that the Wharton School can provide me with the challenge and intense engagement that I have been hungry for since I have felt passionate about business management and marketing.

Essay#2 (has to be one page long.):

The academic community at the University of Pennsylvania that I find most interesting is the Wharton Management Club. This organization was founded as a way for students to interact with professors and other business professionals, and I have found that it is very important to listen to and understand the perspectives of not only my peers but the business professionals whom I will likely be interacting with upon my graduation from the University of Pennsylvania. It is important for me to be a part of the larger business community at my school, and it is exciting for me to think about the potential for learning and growth that this club represents. Not only will I be able to have unique and extremely valuable perspectives from CEO's and other business professions, but I will get a genuine taste for the world of business as it applies to my studies. I believe that it is important not to lose sight of my academic goals, and this club will offer me the opportunity to stay motivated and build my professional and academic networks and understandings.

Another community that I am specifically interested in is MUSE, or the Marketing Undergraduate Students Establishment. This establishment, like the Wharton Management Club, will be an excellent opportunity for me and my peers to share our creativity and ideas with the outside world of business professionals. It will help me remain motivated and actively engaged in the community at large, and MUSE's commitment to helping students build professional connections and insight. I will contribute my unique perspective and will strive to better understand and relate to my peers and the business professionals that I come into contact with.

Outside of the classroom I am very interested in the Men's Track and Field Team I plan to compete on the University of Pennsylvania's track team as I feel it is necessary to establish a well-balanced presence at any school I attend. I have been anxious and excited to participate in track events since my previous school did not have a team and therefore I did not have the opportunity to work with my peers on the field as well as in the classroom.

-- You have just completed your 300-page autobiography. Please submit page 217.

Since being accepted to the University of Suffolk at the age of 17, I have been inspired to perfect my public speaking and communications skills. I enjoy the culmination of days of hard work, research, and information synthesis that comes from delivering presentations. After presenting in front of a large group for the first time, I have realized that in order to effectively communicate my ideas and have an effective impact on my peers' academic experience, I need to focus my attention on clear, concise, and effective communication. I have had many of my professors suggest to me that I become a communications major, and while I was very taken aback by this, I have decided to follow my true passion of business management and marketing all the while making public speaking and presentations the center of my focus. Knowledge is power, but without effective communication, knowledge cannot be passed from on from one person to another.
