Currently I am a patient care assistant at a local hospital, a position I dearly enjoy. I still get stressed out, especially when I go to work while my four-year-old is ill. Yet for some reason I always come home happy and satisfied. I would like to continue working along these lines, but in a more challenging position as an LPN who specializes in adolescent psychology. The patients who gravitate toward me the most seem to be those who can relate to me most. I would be equally as effective working with seniors or the disabled, but because I can empathize so well with troubled teens I feel...

My topsy-turvy teenage years give me the strength and conviction to help others, and I don't at all feel that could be a simple coincidence. I need financial aid to further my career goals; as a single mom I cannot afford to pay my bills and advance my education. I appreciate the opportunity to apply for a scholarship that so aptly suits my needs -- again not another coincidence. Moreover, throughout the course of my future career successes, I know I will be an optimal representative for your organization. Thank you for your consideration.
