¶ … graphs and tables, and their legends. Figures and tables are very important constituents of every well-researched and professionally written paper, and not an adjunct. The information in a paper is characteristically represented in tables. Most of the basic concepts, descriptions, key discoveries, key natural trends, and some conclusions are shown in figures. Figures, tables and texts, all play very important roles. It is not always easy to decide what to place where, but the effort is well appreciated by the readers.

The readers typically study the figures and tables before reading the text. Therefore, each figure and table ought to be informative and complete on its own. The main goal in the creation of graphs, charts, or tables, is the presentation of data in a very clear and accurate format which is easy to interpret. The large number of available computer graphics programs has made the creation of such illustrations quite simple. However, any poorly designed figures or tables will confuse and mislead the reader.

A table should be both self-explanatory and self-supporting. Understanding it should be easy, even without reading the text that accompanies it. Figures remain the most effective means of data presentation. Repeating the information already contained in the text with figures or rendering figures poorly confuses the reader or clutters the manuscript; each figure should therefore, either serve its purpose quite well or get omitted. Using charts and graphs improve the manner in which technical papers are presented by reporting the data concisely.

Generally, they are used for showing the trends, rather than for the more detailed information contained in the table. The style of the charts and graphs and the appearance and size of the letters and the units and numbers ought to be consistent in a paper. All elements that are used in figures, such as letters, symbols and numbers, must be readable at their smallest size (Chapter 5. Figures and Tales, n.d). Discussion and conclusion The study however, failed to adequately discuss its research questions.

The main purpose of the discussion is to understand and give a description of the significance of all findings in light of an already known factor in the research problem. Another aim is to give an explanation of any new understanding or new insights about the research problem after the findings have been fully taken into consideration (Organizing Your Social Science Research Paper: 8. The Discussion, 2015). Most times, this is the aspect regarded as the most essential part of the entire research paper because: 1.

It reveals the ability of a researcher to critically think about an issue, to find very creative solutions to different problems, which are based on a logical synthesis of all findings, and to devise a much deeper, more thoughtful understanding of the research problem being investigated. 2. It presents the fundamental meaning of the research and explores all possible improvements that can be made to develop the concerns of further research. 3.

Here, the researcher highlights the study's importance and how it can possibly contribute to and/or fill all existing gaps in the field. If suitable, the section for discussion ought to state how the results from the study showed new gaps (ignored, overlooked or inadequately described) in literature. 4. It can make the reader think critically about all issues based upon an interpretation of findings based on evidence (Organizing Your Social Sciences Research Paper: 8. The Discussion, 2015) Making suggestions for further researches could have benefitted.
