Further, individuals gain from the spectrum of imparted knowledge that enables them to surge deeper into unexplored aspects to bring beneficial changes to the society. Additionally, education occurs as a force that propels individuals to reach their potential and to become fully engaged in the dynamic trends of the modern world.

As an engine of social mobility, education offers an avenue that individuals can utilize for the betterment of their lives, that of their families, and their communities (Hajiyev, 2015). What is an education gap and how does it affect people and society as a whole An education gap explains the observed and persistent disparity in educational measures based on the performance difference between students from different socioeconomic status, gender status, and ethnic backgrounds. Education gaps threaten to dilute the leveling effects of education.

For example, students from affluent families tend to perform better compared to students from low-income families (Porte, 2015). The same applies to the disparity in performance between white students and black students. Life Chance How are life chances effected by power and education Education improves the life chances of individuals engulfed in studying for the betterment of their lives. The combination of power and education gives educators and students to realize the achievement of goals from the educational sector for the benefit of the society as a whole.
