ECLAT Textiles manufactures fabrics and ready-to-wear garments including knitwears. The company also produces their own lines of textiles: Eclat, Eclon, and BodyCare, all of which have registered trademarks. ECLAT produces mostly synthetic fabrics and yarns, including flexible yarns produced in conjunction with the Dupont Company. Flexible fabric knits range from classics like corduroy, velour and terry to more sophisticated computer-generated patterns. Major fabric production types include single jersey knits. In addition to their trademarked textiles, ECLAT also uses yarns from various other fibers, including staples like cotton. Filament yarns include Tactel, Supplex, nylon, and polyester; Flexible fibers include Spandex and Lycra; "tech" fibers include Coolmax as well as UV-resistant and sweat/odor-resistant yarns. Many of these yarns and the textiles they produce are highly specialized, and can therefore be used in specific types of clothing. For example, Coolmax and UV-inhibiting fabrics would be popular for use in the outdoor and athletic clothing industry. As a designer, I would be very interested in examining some of ECLAT's specialty textiles. Especially for lines of clothing that were designed for active lifestyles, ECLAT's fibers would allow for a wide range of styles. Yoga clothes and other types of movement-friendly garments have become trendy recently, and there will be an increased demand for fashionable yet functional clothing. This clothing should allow the wearer's skin to breathe, which is one of the reasons why some of ECLAT's high-tech yarns and fabrics are appealing to an outerwear manufacturer. However, ECLAT's fabrics can also be used in street fashion articles. Jeans that combine regular cotton denim with flexible yarns have become common, in the form of "stretchy" jeans, for example. Many of ECLAT's fabrics are also good for producing quality undergarments. ECLAT manufactures readymade clothing as well as raw materials, but as a fashion designer or merchandiser I would be more interested in purchasing textiles.

Fashion in Relation to Commodity Culture of 1980s Fashion Fashion during 1980s seems to be glitzy and bold. Fashion trends were no longer dictated by teenagers; as the baby boom generation continued to become richer and older, they demanded more glamorous, upmarket fashion. Contrary to what inspired 1970s fashion, fashion of 1980s did not allow these non-materialist "hippie" values. Some of the nations such as Australia during the decade focused more on

Later on, throughout the 1930s, fashion photographs were principally created in studios, to take advantage of being able to carefully control lighting, composition and pose (Grossman 1). However, outdoor photo shoots were not unheard of. It has been noted that these outdoor photographs "carried an allusion of authenticity and spontaneity that made the fashionable clothes appear more vibrant than the sculptural effects of studio photographs could achieve" (Grossman 1). The 'a degree' brand places particular emphasis on pattern making. Designs are simple, but complex and avant-garde, but classic. The convergence of these apparent dichotomies is intended to symbolize the balance and harmony the brand represents and to reinforce the brand's image as a socially responsible product. The brand targets both male and female consumers across the globe. This is now possible because globalization of the fashion industry has allowed

He received the Neiman Marcus Award for fashion twice, as well as eight Coty Awards for his high-quality ready-to-wear designs. Fashion Management: Business Plan for an Online Fashion Retail Business Brand's philosophy In the past, fashion has been 'all about' following someone else's style -- the style of the moment. Women have tried to fit their bodies and attitudes into what fashion magazines and stylists say they must wear. One season skirts are short; the next they are long. One season black is in; the next season brown is the rage. Our
