The New World Translation and sacred text are where Jehovah's Witnesses are rejecting many of the ideas of traditional Christianity. Instead, they are focusing on a several different principles to include: to deny that God is a spirit vs. An active force, the lack of faith in the belief of Christ as the savior, the view that only 144 thousand will be saved and salvation is based on one's works. The combination of these factors is designed to create a sense of empowerment through the different philosophies that are introduced. The Inquisition was designed to purge Christianity of non-believers. During this process, is when the Catholic Church went after anyone who they felt was not a true Christian. To confess, there were various methods of torture that were used. This meant that innocent people were targeted for no reason at all. Form the non-believers perspective, Christianity is supposed to be about: love, acceptance and understanding. The fact that these atrocities are occurring is showing how the Church is hypocritical. The Crusades of the Middle Ages represent a 200-year history of conflict between Christians and Muslim. What was the reason for this conflict and how would you respond to an unbeliever who discounts Christianity because of the atrocities of the crusades?

The Crusades were designed to provide Christians with the ability to make pilgrimages to Jerusalem. During this process, is when both Christians and Muslims committed atrocities against each other. For the non-believer, these actions can be justified by showing how Christians wanted to have access to Jerusalem and were denied. Moreover, many pilgrims were often targeted by Muslims as infidels. As a result, the Crusades were designed to provide additional security to pilgrims by: capturing and controlling key areas.
