Applying and Sharing Clinical Evidence

Question 1
In contemporary times, there has been an increase in the development and advancement of technology for utilization in clinical practice. I would apply the evidence found in the article by Pals et al. (2015). As a physician in healthcare I would ensure that the patients I provide healthcare to are able to comprehend the new form of technology being used. This would take into account being able to properly communicate and interpret to the patient the importance and benefits to the clients. As outlined by Pals et al. (2015), health professionals as well as patients may deem and perceive new technologies as beneficial components facilitating both patients as well as health professionals in making decisions within the clinical practice. Nonetheless, it is noted that such professionals consider it challenging to assimilate such technology into their clinical work practices, and more so if there is a disparity between the potentials of the technology and work practices. In a similar manner, I would utilize the new technology to facilitate proper healthcare delivery to the patients with fellow physicians. Such interactions and working in tandem with peers would make it significantly easier to integrate the new technology into clinical practice. This is largely important for the reason that the number of novel and innovative technologies for risk assessment and evaluation, which are accessible in health care are progressively increasing in the present day. It makes it significantly easier to outline the benefits of using such technology (Pals et al., 2015).
Question 2
The clinical issue taken into consideration is chronic back pain, which signifies an extensive health issue in the present day. Results from the study have shown that approximately 4.2 percent of individuals that are aged between 24 and 39 years suffer from the health issue whereas this figure increases up to 19.6 percent to individuals between the ages of 20 and 59 years. This is an imperative aspect owing to the fact that it is a basis for global disability and eventually hampers the careers of people as they end up not going to work. Explaining research into practice is the ultimate and most significant stage in the research process. Subsequent to reviewing chronic back pain as a nursing clinical issue, there are different ways in which I would share the research-based evidence with my peers. One of the fundamental ways is to give a comparison between the prevailing practice and other forms of treatment. In this manner, it will be possible to show that there is positive impact owing to the espousal of therapeutic alternatives. Therefore, this would indicate the change that would bring about the improved ability of curing chronic lower back pain. Another impact would be to show my peers the decreased amount of cost incurred in the treatment of chronic lower back pain compared to previously before. In addition, there would be an enhancement in the improved patient care. The three areas that can clearly outline the clinical issue and make it easier to communicate include the substantial financial concerns, clinical practice issue as a major concern and also the unsatisfactory patient outcomes. It is through these areas that it would be possible to convey the clinical issue and the manner in which to deal with to my various peers. Enhancement in patient outcomes and dealing with the clinical practice problem would be clear ways of explanation as well as the eventual decline in the costs incurred in treating the health issue.
