Clinical Psych Mft If There's Research Proposal

I want to be able to practice the new skills I learn alongside actual, real-world training. This will enable me impact people's lives even while I'm still studying. Hence, its emphasis in applied learning is one of the things that draw me to the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. It is also important for me to study at a school where I am encouraged to celebrate my cultural identity. As an Indian immigrant, I still sometimes feel the stigma attached to being a member of the minority. However, I also believe in my competence and know that I will excel in a learning environment that respects cultural diversity and emphasizes cultural awareness. In choosing the Chicago School, I look forward to appreciating other cultures, sharing my experiences as an immigrant and the many facts and traditions about my incredible home country.

When I finish the course, I plan...

This will allow me to combine my current skills in Clinical Psychology with what shall be my newfound skills in family counseling. I'm also open to working in social service agencies, specifically those that cater to immigrant families. Hopefully, through the Chicago School's distinctive, open approach and the MFT program's opportunities for real-world training, I shall be fully equipped to fulfill my goals.
My dream of life imitating art -- a la "Everybody Loves Raymond" - in the realm of family relationships is obviously far-fetched. Hence, my other dream is something more achievable: to be a powerful agent of change who can teach families to resolve their conflicts so they can live more harmoniously.
