What are three arguments in support of, and three arguments in opposition to, privatization of probation and parole services?
Those who support privatization contend that there are more than a few benefits of turning over a variety of governmental services to private corporations. One supposed advantage is the decrease of operating expenses. Supporters maintain that private enterprise can do things more resourcefully and less lavishly than the government. Another benefit is that of augmented accountability. Privatization makes program providers responsible for the running of the program. If a contracted service provider is not doing a good job then another can be found. A third benefit is that of efficiency. Privatization permits organizations that are already providing services and have established trustworthiness to come right in and get started, further shedding the bureaucracy that is now in place (What is the privatization of probation and parole services, 2010).
Opponents of privatization contend that government agencies can be competent and effectual. According to this viewpoint, government offices can take on competence and efficiency enhancing strategies just as?
privately run agencies. Possibly the major argument against privatization is whether it is suitable for the government to turn over the running of the correctional management of criminals to private businesses. Another apprehension in regards to privatization is whether the profit motivation can demean corrections. The argument is that private probation or parole agencies would be under pressure to keep clients under supervision beyond a suitable release time in order to keep caseloads and compensations high. Still another issue with privatization is that private agencies can be excessively discriminating of the clients they want to administer. Private agencies in corrections have been condemned for choosing the most competent clients. The disparagement is that these people may just be able to do well on probation with little or no help (What is the privatization of probation and parole services, 2010).

Of course, other significant capacities and abilities, including emotion directive skills and compassion toward oneself and other people are also essential to conquer routine patterns developed to handle with unwanted experiences and emotions (Hopper, 2011).
Being aware of one's surroundings not only physical but emotional as well can help a person to live a very healthy life. It is important in one's personal life to be mindful of their physical surroundings so that they can protect themselves from harm. If one just goes around unaware of what is going on around them they will for sure end up in a situation that is not where they want to be.
