Declaration of Helsinki

In this article the author emphasizes that having a code of ethics is still as important as it has always been but this new code includes the idea of informed consent and how to deal with those that are unable to provide it. There can never be too many rules and regulations in place when it comes to using humans in experiments. Every possible avenue should be considered when it comes to keeping humans safe during the research process. These additions to the code do just that. It addresses the many safeguards that are in place to protect humans who engage in research experiments.
