This likewise helps them to be able to recognize if there are any gaps in the corporation so that they can come up with the best way of speaking to them as a result. However, As CEO of Family Dollar, I am going to compare 2 positions from Undercover- Boss season 5 episodes 7. I would compare distribution center "warehouse" and Sales associate. My name is Xavier Lewis, CEO of Family Dollar. Since 1959, when Family Dollar first swung its doors open to the public their doors (Leonard, 2009).

It has had very successful years recently because of the economic recession that we are presently in. Consumers are rushing to our stores that because they are giving them high quality that is being done at a good value (Leonard, 2009). Our major concern for Family Dollar is staying successful after coming out the recession. At the moment, I plan to star in a reality show called Undercover Boss. I will join this show to see exactly how my brand is being represented by the workers.

In this episode, I will undercover as a worker named Mark Jones. The determinations of my assignments are to observe the kind of customer service the employees are offering to customers. Also, to see if workers are doing their given job descriptions, and to see if any workers are breaking rules or representing the product in a manner that is wrong. I went to stores in New Jersey, Michigan and Wisconsin. I am going to critique the following positions that I encountered; company drivers and sales associate.

Day one of Filming Sales associate- is in charge for taking the product to customers home. However, it has to be within the guidelines of the law. They have to be polite, courteous, and represent Family Dollar in a professional positive manner. At the moment, I dealt with Eric, the sales associate. Immediately, he starts explaining everything about the position and the requirements for the job.

As, he quickly clarified the dos and don'ts of the job, he then permitted me to look at each area and then contributed to the job he was doing. He shows several facets of the sales associate role at the Family Dollar store, including how to use the cash register and also how to stock things on the shelves in the aisles. Eric, showed that his primary duties were to check out his customers, and he showed how he would did restock all of the shelves.

Plus he had the duty of taking in the trucks, also. We did everything. Day 2 Filming Distribution center "warehouse." Other things that he showed me was how to fill the orders for stores while at the same time maintaining an established production level and also the quality standards. Another part of the job had a lot to do with making sure that there were accurate and proper loading of merchandise that was destined for the stores from the Family Dollar warehouse.

Another duty was properly stacking all the merchandise in trailers so that there is not any kind of damage when delivered. Another part of the job, required scanning all of the merchandise as it was loaded. This Family Dollar warehouse job necessitates the procedure of material handling equipment to transport freight all the way through the Distribution Center. Transports are categorized as freight to its assigned place for shipment or storage.

Also had to make sure that there were correct merchandise is supplied in a well-organized manner on the pick lines when required by Order Fillers. Also he had the duty of stocking consistent with established production level and quality standards. Collecting the Information for the Job Analysis Collecting information on jobs and their description is not the easiest thing to do. There are specific things a person needs to look for when handling the concerned with the job analyses.

A job analysis is a procedure to launched and document the job connection of employment procedures for example selection, training, payment, and performance assessment. The job analysis technique includes things such as interviewing, observation, and Surveys or online forms (Thompson Jr., 2008). Most of these involve Law/Legal Issues for example as court case, legal standards and federal guidelines which could pertain to the business. The job description part has written content, classification systems, evaluation, online descriptions and selection, performance and training evaluation.
