Additionally, a person will better understand how product, price, promotion and place are important in the computer industry. Through this, marketing is applied and an individual grasps ways in which to do sell the computer in a better manner.
The product that is much fascination is that of the Dell computer. This is because of all the different features that are available; one is able to get the most out of it. For example, if an individual wants to have Microsoft Office basic, then he or she can do that. Furthermore, when an individual wants to upgrade the possibility of having this software, the person can have Microsoft Office for their home and business. Someone is fascinated by this company because of all the different options in which to seek technical help as well as to get everything current for a possible computer, since the one that is used will eventually become obsolete (Dell, 2011).
In regards to marketing, one has to understand how each is applicable to the Dell computer. The price for this device is worth noting. This can cost as little as $500 to as much as $1,500 or more. All of this is dependent upon what features a person desires as well as if he or she is going to buy it at a local retailer, such as Best Buy or online through the Dell company website (Best Buy, 2011). A company is allowed discounts if they are wanting to purchase them for their employees as well as those in management. As a result, this makes it affordable for anyone starting up in their chosen industry and Dell makes it affordable (Dell, 2011).
A number of products are available. These include "laptops, desktops, HDTVs, phones, printers, ink and software" (Dell, 2011). This is a plethora of goods to choose from that a person or business would need for their office. One is able to get whatever he or she needs in order to meet the needs of the community and world on a regular basis. Some additional features are worth mentioning as well. A person now can have blueray, internet and wifi. All of these are needed in order to go to different locations in which to work or to enjoy a movie from the comfort of one's computer. In this present era, someone cannot live without technology or a Dell because of how much the information age has transformed how people live daily (Dell, 2011).
Since Dell is a global multinational enterprise (MNE), the company has many avenues in which to sell their products. They are located in California, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America. This works to their advantage because of making sure that every region of the world has access to a computer in their home or office. The business ensures that translators are used for remaining global and to do business without breaking cultural norms. As a result, millions have their needs met by staying in touch with family and friends worldwide in hopes that one can stay current with technology during this process (Dell, 2011).
Through having product, place and price, one has to note promotion. Dell promotes their products in a number of ways. This is done by means of using online and commerical advertisments. These efforts assist others as a means of paying attention to the various sales that are available in hopes that one will receive a discount for the technology. Additionally, the company continues to grow internally by partnering with Verizon, Sprint and any cell phone firm available in order to have internet and email access on cellular phones. In turn, these organizations promote the business as well (Dell, 2011).
