Competition might be completely avoidable in a game of Ultimate Frisbee, yet there are several physical skills and athletic elements in the sport, including throwing and especially running or some other form of full body movement that are required to engage in play. Even with the involvement of these skills, however, it is very possible to enjoy playing Frisbee at a low level of physical ability or exertion. The game can be played at a walking pace for example, or even by individuals in wheelchairs or with other ability issues, and it is easy to make all manner of accommodations for other physical disabilities or desired levels of exertion or relaxation. The game of Ultimate Frisbee can be played at a very intense level, involving as much running as soccer, as much throwing as baseball, and as much impromptu team coordination as basketball; the game can also be played, however, by obese octogenarians on respirators, if enough interested players could be found Frisbee is about moving and achieving at our own potential, not some external athletic standards or expectations.
