By requiring prior academic experience and practical contact with the nursing environment, the program prepares its students for a career in which professionalism and knowledge are some of the basic conditions, especially taking into account the fact that nursing means constant contact with people in need. From this perspective, I consider this phase in my academic education to be an essential step in trying to reach a higher degree of professional knowledge which I would use in my future career and in my attempt to help those in need for assistance. This level of academic program enables one to acquire the specialized information and professional training in terms of techniques and procedures for contributing to programs related to health, for providing care for the sick or those with limited possibilities of expression. At the same time, it will help me become more prepared in the area of the use and prescription of medication and treatments. Overall, I see the Master program as a means through which I can acquire the information and training needed in the area that I intend to work.
As a conclusion, I can say that, indeed, we as individuals are the result of a number of factors that are beyond our control, such as our national identity or our historical background. Still, I see education as a tool for surpassing these differences and as a means for improving ourselves as individuals and making a difference in the lives around us.
