Meanwhile Oxford professor Anthony Flew argues against those who say that because of the big bang God is proven to exist. Did God cause the big bang, or was it just "popped" into existence, Flew asks. And why only two possibilities? Only a physicist can explain that, Flew asserts. Okay then, Flew explains that if God is truly "omnipotent and omniscient" and wants people to "behave in a certain way, why couldn't he accomplish this? If you were omnipotent wouldn't you expect results and expect people to do exactly what you wanted?" (Craig, 2003, p. 25). So, in terms of human behavior, shouldn't the presumption be that "as far an omnipotence is concerned, He is not interested in human behavior"...

Conclusion: It is interesting that much of the debate centers on how the big bang and the universe came to be if God didn't cause it to be launched. I agree with Stan Wallace, quoted in Craig's book saying the big band must have had a cause: a) "Whatever begins to exist has a cause; b) the universe began to exist; and c) "therefore, the universe has a cause." Whether the Creator is called "God" or as the Native Americans put it, "The Great Spirit," some unbelievably powerful force set the cosmos in motion, and to deny that God / Great Spirit exists is to ignore science.
