There has been much controversy regarding transportation in the recent years and depending on each individual's preferences, some means of transportations are considered to be superior to others in particular circumstances. When considering the difference between riding by bus and riding by airplane, there are a lot of variables that can be considered by individuals wanting to reach a conclusion in regard to which one is more effective when concerning their demands. It is difficult to determine whether it is more efficient to travel by bus or to travel by plane and the distance of the trip is one of the principal things influencing such a choice.

People generally like to believe that airtravel is not very expensive and that it is much faster. However, when considering a short-distance trip, it would seem pointless to choose to travel by plane. In addition to this, plane travel is only cheap when individuals buy tickets well in advance of their trip. In contrast to bus travels, however, plane travels are much safer, considering that passengers are less exposed to accidents happening on diverse roads. Environmentalists are likely to consider plane travel as the least favorite means of transportation, as planes generate large amounts of pollutants in comparison to buses.

When considering a summer vacation, it is better for me to opt for plane travel, as this means of transportation provides me with a fast alternative to a bus ride and it is much safer. While bus rides might seem appealing because of the relatively cheap cost associated with them, taking the bus for long distances is more expensive when compared to plane travel. Also, the level of comfort is significantly reduced when traveling by bus, as some buses do not have bathrooms and as I need to go through a lot of stops on my way to the resort that I chose for this summer. Surely, some might have problems with the fact that there are a series of restrictions while aboard planes. Even with that, these respective constraints are not enough to stop me from opting for the most effective means of transportation.

If I were to be retired, it would be less difficult for me to consider a bus ride, as time would not be a problem and as I would practically have nothing else to do in the period of time that it takes me to ride the bus. Modern day society provides us with very little time to spend on vacations and it is thus essential for us to make the most out of every free second that we have. Spending most of a vacation on a bus is certainty not an option for me.
