These are all examples of how management works for us to automate and facilitate most of our activities, thus affecting our lives and the society's as well in positive ways. With management information system, an ATM machine is able to know if your account has the capability to provide the amount of money that you requested.

Also, a hospital staff no longer needs to find your information from a pile of paper-based hospital records. With just one click on a computer, the system that manages patient records will be able to instantly provide the stored information. And, in the metro train's card machine, it is able to know how much money to deduct from your card because of the system that manages the information of where you came from and where you're alighting.

Perhaps, the area that has been mostly influenced by management information system are the businesses and industries that are the main source of the society's sustenance to living. With management information system, businesses continuously improve and grow, both in terms of operation and in terms of financial revenues. Thus, with the success of the companies and businesses, the employees, which comprise the large part of the society, similarly benefits from the advantages and gains that management information systems bring to their companies.
