This is because most practitioners will spend 55.9% of their time focusing on documentation and coordinating with other professionals. To deal with these challenges, there needs to be a greater emphasis on utilizing technology (such as: electronic medical records). This will increase productivity and communication. At the same time, the report recommends that nurses play a greater role in advising and assisting physicians about treatment options.
