Kings Daughter The Culture And Environment Of Essay

Kings Daughter The culture and environment of any workplace is extremely important. We are indeed products of our surroundings and we should expect to reflect this nature. The purpose of this essay is to explore the organizational structure and cultural of the King's Daughter Health System. The essay will examine how the organizational structure contributes to the quality of care within the system and also identify how culture, and specifically generational differences also impact the inner workings of this area.

Organizational Structure

There are essentially three types of general organizational structure that almost all work place systems are based upon. These include the functional structure, the divisional structure and the matrix structure. A functional structure is designed so that each are of the organization is organized according to its specific objectives and goals. A divisional structure is used in large companies that have their resources spread out over a large area. Divisional structures are helpful because they afford a division of labor but also lack in ease of manageability. The matrix organizational structure is a combination of the two aforementioned structures that incorporate the best of both worlds by allowing both types to operate at once.

The many different information systems help the leadership take advantage of the organization's layout. The interdepartmental e-mail system allows leaders to quickly disseminate key information to all members of the organization or just selected members. The company's IT system also connects many of the informatics data that can be used to help communicate between the many layers of the organization in a quick, discreet and effective manner that assists greatly in the care giving sections. These communication systems help allow decisions to be made in shorter amounts of time, essentially saving lives and making the healing process smoother and accurate.

Delivery of Care

Ponte (2003) claimed that "even as most professionals in the healthcare arena readily embrace a philosophy of patient-centered care, many underestimate the organizational commitment and related efforts associated with moving from a traditional organizational model to one that is truly patient centered," (p.82). In other words the organizational model and the culture that lives and breathes in that model are essential to providing client-centered care. Too often organizations ignore the most important ingredient and the very reason and purpose the King's Daughter Health system is even in place: the patient.

Some Chinese researchers assert that Chinese flutes may have evolved from of Indian provenance. In fact, the kind of side-blown, or transverse, flutes musicians play in Southeast Asia have also been discovered in Africa, India, Saudi Arabia, and Central Asia, as well as throughout the Europe of the Roman Empire. This suggests that rather than originating in China or even in India, the transverse flute might have been adopted through the

Price Beauty? 'For though beauty is seen and confessed by all, yet, from the many fruitless attempts to account for the cause of its being so, enquiries on this head have almost been given up" William Hogarth, The Analysis of Beauty, (1753) Not very encouraging words, but if the great artist William Hogarth felt himself up to the task, we can attempt at least to follow his lead. That beauty is enigmatic

Thus, the question continues to rise: "How can one know if a person is Jewish or not?" Likewise, for the Messianic Jew, there are numerous commands in Scripture to treat Jews differently than non-Jews. For example, "the Gospel....to the Jew first and foremost." At the time of Yom Kippur, the
