Their leadership qualities are closely related to the traits of the current institution leaders. When these traits and values are put in to practice while facing the future notion, notable change is achievable in the existence of humanity. When an individual applies the traits of the famous and influential leaders in their daily activities, they view the authority as mentor.

Appraise a leader's traits and leadership values that made an impact in your life (noncombat oriented).

Dean of students goes down as one of the greatest leaders I have come across. His reign boasts plentiful leadership traits that made an enormous impact in my life as a member of the contemporary world and the institution. The first leadership trait of Dean of Student is hard working. This trait influences all students and other staff members to strive to reach their life goals and objectives. According to the theory of Dean of Students, heroes attain their prestigious role and position through hard work rather hereditary factors. In order to succeed in life, one has to struggle and strive through the prevailing obstacles and challenges. This hard work results in to better living conditions of the individuals within the society through economic growth and development (Love, 2010). The leadership trait that Dean of Student implements in the institution in the name of hard work has a considerable impact in my future and present life since it determines the motives of the society and an individual in particular. According to the Dean, people have to work for their achievements. Individuals create a society through striving and enduring the adverse challenges in the community. Nothing comes on a silver plate hence you have to earn what rightfully belongs to you. This is through hard work and extra effort from all corners of the nation. In order to achieve this, the society must share the view and philosophy of the authority. Through the hard working nature of the Dean of Students, the institution and entire nation are able to grow in to new levels of development. The living condition is changing, and America enjoys the benefits even in the contemporary world. Independence was because of hard work hence the value should not disappear into thin air. The legacy of the ancient American leaders should not disappear in to thin air. Through hard work, the philosophy can live on (Harvey, 2008).

The second leadership trait of Dean of Students that has considerable influence in my life is intolerant and hot -- tempered behavior. Dean is direct in his dealings since he has to face criticism from the numerous aspects of the institution. This trait enables the dean of students to manage with ease since he never looks into what others have to say in terms of the leadership tactics developed. Throughout his management process, the dean has the trait of undermining the influence of his critics. The process of undermining the critics, results with eventual destruction of the potential threat hence, the institution never have a real go at his management process. This trait has a sizeable impact in the development of my life as an individual. Intolerant trait by Dean of students is admirable because it enables a person to organize, control, and manage the proceedings of a firm or organization despite the existing obstacles and challenges (Harvey, 2008). This trait offers strength to the person occupying the formal leadership role hence crucial in directing social, economic, and political developments within a nation. The trait and value should undergo transmission to the new generation to decide on what is best for them and the entire society (Love, 2010).

Dean of students, in his management process, is an extensive risk-taker. He never sees the need involve his students or...

This trait can be related to Obama's trait when in the act of pursuit of the world's renowned terrorist Osama Bin Laden. During this retreat, the military succeeded because of risk taking value of president Obama. Obtaining control of Afghanistan was the highlight of his nature in approaching the enemy. The act was daring hence called for the assistance of the American president to help restore harmony in the region (Love, 2010). Without risk taking ability or value, leaders are unable to fulfill their dreams and goals. This creates stagnation in the entire society or institution as no one wants to direct the society towards better conditions. If the risk taking value were applied in the future, planning of the nation, numerous innovation and inventions would emerge to drive the economy towards rapid growth and development (Harvey, 2008).
Dean of students adopts self-control trait in his approach as one of the top leadership components of the institution. This value aids his efforts in leadership in strict and compromising situations. The self-control value enables the dean to develop dignity and respect to the entire institution (Love, 2010). This value defines the management of the dean as being responsible for the well-being of the students in which he is seen as a leader with respectable integrity. Various institution members see the dean as a mentor in the aspect of integrity and self-respect. This value has a significant impact in my life towards the development as a person. It was vital to adopt the value of self-respect or self-control since it is a source of respect from other societal members and the entire world. All these personal attributes plus the philosophical qualities enables the revolution of the institution in which the students are able to achieve their goals and objectives (Harvey, 2008).

Vice-Chancellor

The vice-chancellor acts as the vice president of the institution. Away from the formal and governance activities, vice-chancellor possesses admirable qualities that relate effectively to the modern and the future generations. Obedience to his superior as well as arrogance and authority over/towards his junior officials characterize his leadership tactics. From this perspective, the most admirable trait and value is obedience (Fly, 2009). Despite being over demanding on the officials serving under his command, vice-chancellor develops the value of obedience in dealing with the top officials within the government. This value enables him to execute orders from the top leadership effectively and efficiently thus yielding improved levels of productivity within the institution. This value has significant influence in my life since it changes my interaction within the institution and the entire society. It is significant to obey your superiors. This enhances the process of role execution among individuals in serving the interest of the nation. Through obedience, the goals and objectives of the institution and firms are achievable hence guiding the entities towards economic growth and development (Harvey, 2008).

Vice-Chancellor portrays value and trait of never give up attitude, which has a positive impact in contemporary society. He has the capacity to move on despite the fact that several obstacles are on his path towards achieving his dream. This trait of hard work and perseverance is illustrated in the path taken by Vice-Chancellor to reach the ultimate position of being the second in command within the institution. Majority admires the trait and Vice-Chancellor is a mentor to many because of his view about life. No one should throw in a towel when the going gets tough. In order to succeed in the current and future worlds, never give up attitude should be encouraged within the nation (Fly, 2009). This trait by VC has a substantial impact in my life since it offers the motivation to tackle daily obstacles in the process of developing as a person. To achieve the potential goals and objectives in life, one has to go past the challenges and obstacles. For being a fighter in life, VC is a mentor and a mirror to the society. This trait guarantees success in an individual's life hence should hold highly within the society. The process through which objectives and goals are achieved requires the never give up attitude. This value covers for the shortcomings and criticisms of VC while serving his beloved institution as the second in command (Harvey, 2008).

VC is also known for his bravery as a leader and a man. This trait and value is crucial in determining how…
