There are four basic functions that tests are serving. Discuss pros and cons of 5 of the types of test listed

The pros of multiple choice, true -- false, matching tests, essay and short answer exams are they help everyone to think critically. The cons of these kinds of tests are that they can often look at specific subject matter that based on theoretical principals. However, in the real world they may not help someone to effectively troubleshoot the problem and use common sense. This could hurt an individual's ability to adapt to a host of situations.
