These are anti-depressants that are prescribed for someone who is suffering from various forms of depression. A few of the most notable drugs that would fall under this category include: Zoloft, Prozac, Paxil and Seroxat. However, a recent study that was conducted by the American Medical Association (AMA) found that the difference between SSRI's and the placebo (a sugar pill) are having the same effect for treating depression. As a result, a wide variety of patients who are suffering from these conditions will stop taking the drug due to the fact that they do not see any improvement in their mental state. (Louis, 2011)

This is significant, because it is showing how many of the large pharmaceutical manufacturers are hiding the fact that these drugs have side effects which could harm patients. At the same time, they are down playing the fact that they may not be effective in treating depression. This is problematic, because it means that patients could be continuing to suffer from these issues. As a result, there are several natural steps that are recommended for helping to improve treatment options. These include: having the patient take less sugar, check for possible symptoms of hypothyroidism, taking vitamins B3 / D and exercising on a regular basis. Once this occurs, these factors will help to naturally change the underlying mental state in the patient. This information is useful, because it is illustrating how everyone must be able to understand the possible side effects of these drugs on their body and what steps they can take to naturally treat their depression. If this kind of approach is utilized, it will greatly improve the odds of changing the patient's state of mind to more empowering thoughts. This is when they can be effective in dealing with their depression. (Louis, 2011)

The basic skills that we taught was the one sentence summary. This is when you are asking everyone to summarize their finding in one sentence by focusing on several different aspects. To include: who, what, where, when, how and why. Once this takes place, is when you want to answer these questions in the order that they were received. This is important because, it can help to improve the student's learning comprehension of the material and their ability to think critically. (Angelo, 2011)

There are four basic functions that tests are serving. These include: to provide an assessment of the individual's understanding of the material, they are helping to develop critical thinking, it evaluates a person's ability to look at the situation from different viewpoints and it helps everyone to analyze how the material will have an effect on the way they see the world around them. This is important, because the combination of these functions help us to effectively reach out to a host of individuals and to understand if everyone is able to comprehend the material that has been presented. For nurses, this is improving the way we communicate and look at the underlying problems that are affecting stakeholders. This is when we can be more professional and recognize the various challenges they are facing. (Davis, 2011)
