The scientific revolution and the age of classical science have had a severe impact on society and made it possible for it to experience great progress as a consequence of the fact that technology had advanced significantly. Humanity was especially ignorant up to this point and technology actually made it possible for the masses to look at the world from a different perspective. People learnt that a lot of things they previously believed to be impossible were actually possible and joined the rest of the world in a struggle to achieve progress. The Scientific Revolution basically represents the moment when the social order started to experience massive reform as a result of technological advancements.

One of the first steps in the fight for progress was related to rejecting traditional values with the purpose of embracing newer ones. Nicholas Copernicus was among the individuals who actually believed that it was wrong for society to stick to conventional values, as this limited people and made it very difficult for them to experience progress. One of the primary fields that he attacked was alchemy, as he considered that it was absurd for the masses to focus their resources on a field that was utopic in general. Galileo Galilei's work was exactly what Paracelsus expected from the world. The Italian astronomer invented the telescope and made it possible for people from around the world to think about astronomy as one of the most important domains ever discussed. It is safe to say that the telescope played a major role in the scientific revolution because it enabled the masses to understand that logics was essential and that it was irresponsible for someone to put across solid theories as long as the respective person was unable to support them with evidence.
One of the most prominent figures of the scientific revolution is Sir Isaac Newton. In contrast to many of his colleagues who directly rejected values promoted in the past, he focused on adapting these values to newer ones with the purpose of determining which of them needed to be kept and which needed to be discarded.
