Nursing Science for the Express

¶ … Nursing Science for the express purpose of pursuing my vocational goals of becoming a professional nurse. It is also my hope to contribute to the overall xxxxxxxxxx University community by actively participating in student affairs that improve the experience of my fellow students.

In general, my desire to study Nursing is two-fold: first, it is likely the most productive possible application of my natural desire to help others; second, the current economic situation has made the nursing profession an even more attractive option than it was already by virtue of my long-standing life plans.

While so many other industries and professions are experiencing a significant reduction in demand, one of the consequences of the aging American population is that the demand for skilled healthcare providers is increasing rapidly in a trend that is expected to continue (and accelerate) in the next decade, especially. In that respect, nursing represents a perfect situation for me because it already was an opportunity to apply my natural desire to care for others.
