OCEAN Personality

Openness to Experience = 77

Conscientiousness = 79

Extroversion = 30

Agreeableness = 57

Neuroticism = 87

For Openness to Experience, I have a high score and this reflects well in my own traits, as I am one who likes change and likes to challenge the status quo. I feel that I am a creative thinker and enjoy unconventional ways of doing things. I also have a lot of interests, so it is difficult for people to pigeonhole me. People are always surprised that I am interested in certain activities when they look at me and assume that I am only interested in other activities because that is what they see me doing. But I am into music, art, psychology, and various other activities. I agree with this score.

For Conscientiousness, I scored high as well, and this is reflected in my traits, such as the fact that I love to plan things—such as my week, trips, work schedule, study time, workouts, and so on. I like to be structured, and tidy, and I do not like to have a chaotic environment. So I agree with this score as well.

I have a low score on Extroversion, and this is probably reflected in the fact that I am usually not going to be the first one in a room to introduce myself. I am shy that way, and thoughtful. I figure if someone wants to talk to me that is fine, but I am a little too self-conscious to make that first move or be bold enough to think that others might want to have a conversation if I strike one up. I like to reflect and listen, but I also kind of wish I could be more outgoing and spontaneous because I like the confidence that people seem to have when they act without a care for how others think of them. I agree with this score.

My Agreeableness score I don’t really agree with. I think I can become very irritable, but I can also be forgiving. I don’t like to hold grudges—although sometimes I do. But I also try to keep from getting irritated about things. I thought I would have scored higher here since I feel I do get along well with others.
