Personal My most important non-academic achievement was volunteer work I did against child abuse. I love children and feel that they need protection more than anyone else. They are delicate and need adults' attention, love and care. However in our country and in many around the world, children are constantly being neglected and subjected to inhumane treatment by bad parents or uncaring guardians. I started working for children in high school by joining the society for child abuse and child protection. As a volunteer, I was required to spread the message around and make students more aware of this problem. It was a spiritually very enlightening since it put me in direct contact with children whose life had been put in danger by some adults but who could now benefit from love and care provided by volunteers of the society. We also encouraged other people to come forward if they had witnessed any cases of child abuse or if they felt some child's life might be in danger. We also researched the topic at libraries and collected statistics and important facts to enlighten the people.
