Today in the present world, the companies' structure has changed and more innovative methods are in demand for the training and development of the employees. Training and development is an important part of the company's operation. Training and development provide the employees with an ability to learn the job and off the job new techniques. It also enables the employees to adapt new abilities through planned schedules. This provides the basis for the prosperity and growth of the company, and the other stakeholders as well. Development planning process consists of six major steps which are, the realization of the opportunity to learn ( from employees' side) and to train and develop ( from the manager's and the organization's side), the creation of sources of motivation in relation to development and change, the identification of areas that need development and the setting up of goals, the development of assessment criteria for performance assessment, the development of course of actions that is to be followed in the development process and the submission of feed back from the managers on the development and improvement of employees.
