Communication Modalities

Communication is a fundamental facet in any production plant or organization. There are various communication channels and applications in the world of communication. Communication modalities are present in almost every organization. Different entities of growth and production require a diversity of communication channels. For instance, different communication channels can be involved like e-mails, web-based forums, and electronic medical records.

Communication modality used for marketing in health care

Web-based forums

Web-based forums are one of the trusted communication channels between consumers and health care providers in the world. The existence of technology has necessitated establishment of online channels where health care service providers are able to interact with consumers in remote senses. For instance, it has become easy for a client in any part of the world to access web-based forums that are provided through the internet. Through web-based forums, clients access a diversity of information and communication from the service providers' offices and places of production. This channel of communication has benefited many individuals in the health sector and many other sectors of production in the world (Ball & Hannah, 2011).

Benefit to the patient

Patients access immense benefits from web-based forums provided between themselves and service providers within a healthcare centre. Initially, provision of drugs and other prescriptions was done on physical presence of a patient in the health sector. Nonetheless, patients are able to access such information through the web-based forums in wherever places they are. Such a process helps to cut on the costs of production and assessment records by the health sector department. For instance, it is cheap for a patient to access the website and retrieve instructions and prescriptions on how to follow up a given therapeutic procedure other than having to make way to the places of provision. As part of the benefits, the web-based forums reduce unnecessary incurrence of financial constrains and makes the entire process effective, efficient, and affordable to the patients.

Aspects relating to values and importance of maintaining patient confidentiality

With web-based forums, patients are open to online accesses that are likely to enable access to individual confidentiality. Patient confidentiality is a critical feature in delivery of health care standards and credentials of a patient. However, access to web-based forums is dictated by security measures that have been put in place in order to ensure equitable management and confidentiality of the patient information and other details of confidentiality. When using web-based forums as a channel of communication, patient confidentiality is made vulnerable to access by the public. For instance, the forum channels are open to many individual patients who have varying inquiries. Nonetheless, access to these channels is rudimentary to pieces of information that are unlikely to have any problem when accessed by the public.

Reason this mode is an effective means of communication between consumers and providers

Consumers and providers of various products and services within the health care facilities are able to come on direct exchange with the use of web-based forums. In fact, web-based forums are an effortless way of relaying face-to-face exchange of information between the patient and the service provider within a health centre. Nonetheless, the channel enables the patient to access the health centre facilities without having to make eye contact with the service provision centre. For instance, a patient in a remote pace gets to receive all the prescription measures on how to undergo a therapy without having to engage other channels as providing his or her physical presence. The fact that clients are able to access equitable services and guidance from the service provision centres without having to make travels to the places of provision is beneficial to the patient. In most cases, it is cheaper to access online services other than other channelled of communication. Patients find it easy to access the information in their comfort and the comfort of the service providers without having to incur unnecessary costs. Moreover, clients find it easy to seek continuous consultations and inquiries from the service provider stations without having to make regular visits to the health care centres. Therefore, this method proves to be effective and efficient to the patients at all times (Nelson et al., 2013).

This means that the client is gets to access every bit of information with access to the required gadgets and power options. Unlike other channels, this mode of communication takes after technological appreciation in the society and places of service provision.
