CAD systems can also streamline the new product introduction process, providing graphical 3D images of the boat even before it is manufactured, giving dealers and distributors a chance to begin taking orders for the new models (Rosenbaum, Postula, 1991). Finally a CAD system can make planning the next generation of boats more efficient and less costly.
