¶ … radiology program for several reasons. Firstly, I believe I have the aptitude to complete the course. Secondly, I believe I have the skills and personal qualities that will allow me to succeed both in the course and in a career as a radiologist. Finally, I have a genuine interest in working as a radiologist, and am sure that this course and this career is the right choice for me. I believe these reasons combine to show that I have the aptitude, the attitude and the enthusiasm required to complete the course and continue on to a successful and rewarding career.

Firstly, I believe I have the ability necessary to complete the course. I have always had an aptitude for science. I studied anatomy, biology and chemistry in high school and particularly enjoyed these courses. These subjects are part of the radiology course and I am sure I will again enjoy studying them, as well as the other science subjects that are part of the course. My high school results also show my ability. I always achieved good results in high school, I was on the honor roll for many of my terms, I was in accelerated and honor classes, and I scored 1110 on my SAT's.

My time at high school also shows some of the personal characteristics that I believe are important to completing the course and working in radiology. I was involved in various school activities including student council, peer leadership and soccer. I also had perfect attendance all through my four years in high school. I believe this participation and level of attendance shows that I have not only the aptitude to study, but also the attitude that will ensure I am successful in my study and in my career.

Furthermore, I have a very good work ethic. I am capable of working hard and prioritizing my activities. I have applied this work ethic to both my previous studies and to my work at Dunkin Donuts. I believe it will be equally beneficial applied to studying radiology and to working as a radiologist.

I have also acquired excellent people skills while working at Dunkin Donuts. This job has involved working and interacting with many different people and I have also worked as team leader. I believe these people skills are another asset that will allow me to succeed as a radiologist.

A also have other unique skills that I believe will be an asset. I speak conversational Polish, which I believe will be useful working in a hospital environment where I will come in contact with many different nationalities.

Finally, I have a specific desire to work as a radiologist and am sure that this course and this career is the right choice for me.

My time at high school led me to believe that I would pursue a career in science and this is where my interests lie. However, after high school I was accepted to an excellent business college with a generous scholarship that would take most of the financial burden off my parents and I. I accepted this scholarship as it was an excellent opportunity, but I soon realized that business was not the career for me. This experience allowed me to realize where my real interests lie, which is why I am sure that radiology is the right career for me.

As well as an interest in science, I also have a strong desire to help people. I decided some time ago that the profession I chose would be one that involved service to others. I believe radiology combines my interest in science with my desire to help people and will provide me with a rewarding career.
