While eagerly awaiting admittance to INSEAD and the furtherance of my academic and professional careers, I have used my time in several highly fulfilling and enriching ways. The amount of free time I have had in this period, though unsought, has allowed me to reconnect with several passions of mine within the community. Dance has reentered my life after a long hiatus; I have been providing ballet lessons to children with a variety of disabilities on an ongoing basis, which has proven both a challenging and an immensely humbling experience. Most importantly, these lessons have helped keep me connected to my community and to the rewards bringing others joy, and have rekindled my passion for building a global community.

My professional development has kept a similar tenor and pace during this interim period in my career. I have nearly completed my RICS membership requirements, which will provide me with greater knowledge and opportunities to wok and connect with others at an international level. I have also been working as a counselor and advisor to a private investor, assisting them in the purchase of two major mixed-used (office and residential) buildings in Paris, with the sale set to close this fall. I have also provided research for newspaper articles, and have in general kept my awareness and knowledge base as up-to-date as possible.

Essentially, I have spent my time exploring new avenues and rekindling old passions, and I have thankfully found a great deal of unity between these two trajectories. I am looking for new and innovative ways to accomplish my large-scale goals, and though I realized I have the skills and potential to make this happen regardless of the next step in my immediate future, I also know that INSEAD would provide invaluable insight and assistance towards my success. It is for this reason that I am renewing my application to your institution.

One of INSEAD's most attractive qualities is the internationalism of its student body and its curriculum. I have visited other campuses and programs, and though international communities and thought patterns are nominally represented, neither students, faculty, nor alumni were as connected to the international community as I feel is necessary for a truly effective education in today's business climate. Real estate is a global business, and I intend to pursue it as such -- with all of the responsibilities and opportunities that this entails. INSEAD's program will help me build international contacts and find opportunities outside of my native France, making me a more effective and a more well-rounded individual.
