HRM: Response to Peer
There are various courses of action that could be embraced in an attempt to further promote the performance of human resources. According to Kavanagh and Johnson (2017), in the present day and age, technology has provided crucial avenues for the optimization of the capabilities of human resources. One of the tools and systems that immediately come to mind in this case is electronic health records. According to the authors EHRs could be instrumental in efforts to further enhance staff efficiency. Indeed, to be more specific, “studies have shown electronic health records (EHRs) to generate a positive return on investment and improve organizational efficiency” (Kavanagh and Johnson, 2017, p. 314).
My colleague maintains that he has been able to further enhance his knowledge and capabilities on a wide range of issues in this particular course. It is also important to note that as has been pointed out in the write-up, the performance of clinical assessments via SWOT analysis could come in handy in efforts to not only identify, but also reign in various health concerns. I’m in agreement. For instance, my colleague is categorical that his performance of SWOT was instrumental in the further refinement of his understanding of both the healthcare environment and the various concerns deemed to be of great relevance to the support services, staff, as well as the general patient population. In the final analysis, according to my colleague, with the newly acquired knowledge, his performance will benefit – i.e. in his efforts to make meaningful contributions to the delivery of healthcare services.
