Oranye J. makes an observation to the effect that quality and safety are fundamental components if an organization is to be able to achieve its corporate goals. Medical errors are among the leading causes of death in USA. Nevertheless, Rodziewicz et al. (2022) suggest that it is often hard to establish the root cause of medical errors. Therefore, designing systems that prevent people from doing the wrong thing as highlighted by Oranye happens to be an important step in preventing medical errors.
