The Sales Department is among the most important divisions in every organization. In fact, there is almost no business or company that has no Sales Department present within the organization chart. As indicated by Kraft Online,

It is the Sales Department that most of the time does the work of attracting prospective clients and customers and bringing financial gains to a business. Without a Sales Department, a business might be nothing but an organization working for no purpose.

There are many roles that a Sales Department can play in the success of an organization. Its contributions range from the introduction of products or services that a company caters up to the distribution/delivery of products and services. In this paper's case, which is about a company whose products are foods and wishes to bring to the market their new Far East Salad product, following are some of the effective and useful strategies that the Sales Department can contribute in the success of the organization in their new business endeavor.

The first thing that the Sales Department must know is that food is the topmost product that consumers are receptive of. It is usually the role of the Sales Department to plan and organize sales strategies and techniques. Hence, when planning, the Sales Department must understand the pros and cons, or the likeable and not so likeable characteristics of the new food product in terms of the different factors where consumers can be affected. For instance, having a strategy of selling a product based on its nutritious facts can be helpful to health-conscious consumers. On the other hand, the food nutrition information strategy may be non-interesting for consumers who focus more on the tastes of foods. Nevertheless, the point is that the Sales Department can contribute to the success of the company by having the capability to determine the effective techniques to make the product sell like hotcakes.

Another contribution that a Sales Department can provide is not only in terms of introducing the new Far East Salad and bringing it to the market. Additionally, the Sales Department can play the role of taking care of customers' needs and looking after the things that are beneficial for them in relation to the organization's food products that they patronize. This role provides benefits for both the customers and the organization which in the end can result to the success of the organization.

Thirdly, the sales department can further contribute to the success of the organization by making the product known to consumers which consequently can make the company known as well.
