Stretch marks are perhaps one of the most common after- effects that commonly happen among women after pregnancy. The main reason and cause why stretch marks occur in our body is not really definitive, but there are several reasons that contribute and remain to be the primary causes (although they do not explain why stretch marks occur) of stretch marks, and these possible causes may be either of the following: (1) stretch marks related to hormonal activity, causing it to appear and occur even to teenage boys and girls; (2) pregnancy (as a result of too much stretching of the skin during the pregnancy period); (3) rapid weight gain/loss (resulting to stretching/de- stretching of the skin); (4) depression and extreme unhappiness; (5) long-term lacking of nutrients; and (6) sudden change in physical or environmental conditions. These are the primary accepted possible causes why stretch marks occur to people.

Pink or purplish lines that usually occur in the stomach, upper thighs, and even the breasts characterize stretch marks. The stretching is the result of the production of collagen in the skin, leading to the breaking up of the skin, which will eventually lead to pink or purple marks called stretch marks. Of course, stretch marks are not exclusive to pregnant women only, but they also occur to men and boys and girls in the adolescent stage. The primary causes mentioned a while ago are the primary reasons why stretch marks are inevitable to happen among people of all gender and ages. The stretch marks at its initial stage are probably at its worst appearance, since the purplish marks are hard to conceal and to be unnoticed by an individual who might notice it. However, as time passes by, the purple marks in the skin become white and faint pale in color, a sign that the blood vessels in the purple marks are breaking up, and this pale whit color might become unnoticeable in the end, and the stretch mark will eventually be gone. Despite the unknown origins of stretch marks, people must not be embarrassed or frightened about having one because it is a normal occurrence and does not bring any harmful effect to the individual (unless that individual is too mentally preoccupied with his/her stretch marks).

The funeral [for Jean] has begun...The scene is the library in the Langdon homestead. Jean's coffin stands where her mother and I stood, forty years ago, and were married; and where Susy's coffin stood thirteen years ago; where her mother's stood five years and a half ago; and where mine will stand after a little time." gospels in the Bible, each purporting to tell the true story of Jesus' time on earth. In these four books, the famous "Sermon on the Mount" is only recorded in full one time (in Matthew), though a much abridged version is recorded in Luke and supposedly told when Christ has descended from that same mountain. Whether Biblical literalism is valid seems unanswerable, however, from this type of historical analysis, which a literalist would reject. A person who sees the Gospels solely as documents of faith, written by Jesus' actual disciples at relatively the same time period despite their different perspectives, versions of events, and literary motifs, would naturally try to reconcile the two different versions of Jesus of Matthew and Mark and suggest that they

Connecticut Yankee To most readers of his works in the 21st century, Mark Twain is probably best known as a humorist. He is someone who, by the deft use of language, entertainingly offbeat characters and the more-than-occasional plot twist can keep us reading and laughing to the end. But of course he was in fact far more than simply a humorist. His work - from short stories like "The Celebrated Jumping

Homeric Epics and Mark Dennis McDonald's The Homeric Epics and the Gospel of Mark (2000) is a book that was always guaranteed to upset orthodox Christian theologians and biblical literalists and fundamentalists everywhere, since its main thesis held that the author of the first gospel used the Iliad and the Odyssey as literary models. He compares Mark to the apocryphal Acts of Andrew, a Gnostic book, and describes it as a

Universally accepted as one of the world's foremost epics, John Milton's Paradise Lost traces the history of the world from a Christian perspective. (Milton, 1667) The narrative of the poem largely deals with falling and how desires -- God, Satan, Jesus, Adam and Eve's -- lead to it. The book is about mankind's fall -- Original Sin -- Adam and Eve's disobedience of God. There are other instances of falling
